The CC-3C chain wear indicator is a precisely designed tool intended for monitoring bicycle chain wear and maintaining the bike's optimal performance. This gauge is compatible with most 5-12-speed bicycle chains. The replacement recommendation is given based on wear percentages: it's recommended to replace the chain for 5-10-speed chains when the wear level reaches 0.75 %, and for 11-12-speed chains at 0.5 %. The gauge's long and precise design makes it easy to use thanks to its permanent measurement markings. It's a key part of regular bike maintenance, as it helps avoid costly repairs by giving a clear indication of chain stretch when it reaches the replacement threshold.
