Brake discs

Brake discs are a key part of the disc brake system and their role is to provide reliable braking performance. Brake disc characteristics: Diameter: the most common sizes are 140 mm, 160 mm, 180 mm and 203 mm. Smaller discs are suitable for lighter applications such as road cycling, while larger discs offer more braking power and durability for demanding off-road or electric cycling conditions. Most brake discs are made of steel, which is durable and heat-resistant. Some models have cooling fins for better heat management. Mounting type: brake discs are mounted with either a 6-pin or Center Lock system, the choice depending on the wheel hub compatibility. Regular inspection and maintenance of the brake discs, such as cleaning and replacement of worn discs, will ensure brake efficiency.
